Geelong High School is a Year 7 -12 co-educational school located near central Geelong. Geelong High is in a unique situation where it draws its 900 students from over 40 feeder schools across the Greater Geelong area.
The school is the oldest public co-educational high school in Geelong. It has a long and proud history and treasures the place it has occupied in the Geelong Educational community over the past 100 years. The school is ever intent on honouring it’s proud tradition while embracing contemporary and inovative educational initiatives to ensure our students achieve their full potential.
The school offers a Integrated Curriculum at Years 7 & 8 combining Key Learning Areas. In year 9 and 10 a vertical program called Individual Learning Pathways is offered. The program provides students with a broad choice of subject across all KLA's. Learning acceleration and consolidation opportunities are available through this program.
In 2010 the school introduced a 1:1 Notebook program inYear 7 which will extend across the whole school. This is supported by the Federal Governments National Secondary Schools Computer Program. The School offers a broad Later Years program including VCE, VCAL, VET, SBAs and the opportunity to extend in University studies.
