Library Resource Centre
The Library Resource Centre is open from 8.15am, during recess and lunchtime, and after school until 4.15pm for study, research and reading.

Our collections support the curriculum at Geelong High School and cater for a wide range of reading abilities and preferences. We provide daily copies of the 'Geelong Advertiser’, ‘The Age’ and 'Herald Sun’ and a selection of magazines for reading in the Library.

The Library Resource Centre is a safe and welcoming environment for students across all year levels. It is a place of connectedness, where we discourage the use of electronic devices and encourage students to make real life connections with other students in the space by providing an opportunity for study and quiet reading, as well as encouraging the playing of board games such as Chess and Scrabble and quiet conversations.
Our aim in the Library is not only to promote a love of reading but also to explore creativity through activities such sewing, knitting, jewellery-making and paper crafting. The Library Resource Centre can also be used as a Make-A-Space where students creatively tinker with materials and explore ideas.
We regularly connect to the wider GHS Community through efforts such as supporting House fundraising days and working with Music and ‘The Green Team’ to allow opportunities for performances and displays, and our weekly Manga Club sessions which connect directly into the Japanese cultural awareness at Geelong High School.
