Beyond Blue GHS Basketball Competition

Last week we ran the first inaugural Beyond Blue GHS Basketball competition. The first game kicked off with the Year 7 Leigh house playing Year 8 Moorabool house. It was a close contest in the end with the Year 8s defeating the Year 7s, 14-9. Next to play was our Year 9 Barwon house vs Year 10 Moorabool house. It was a very competitive game from start to finish with the Year 10’s taking out a 5 point win. Finally the main event, Staff v students. The new Year 12’s suiting up against a tough looking staff line up. The first half was a tight, back and forth contest with the rotations high for the students they looked to take control. After a couple of late buckets, the staff went into the half up by a point. Onto the second half in which the experienced staff looked to take over. The crowd getting right behind a Mr Ferguson running floater and a Ms Gaskin deep two the staff just got over a fast finishing Year 12 team 15-10. Thank you to all that came out to support and help on the day.
